7-CSS-Torture Application
This assignment was pure torture.
It had 16 steps and I spent about 2 or more hours on one (10+5).Not trying to help anybody cheat on the assignment so making my descrptions non-descript.
Anyway, It was the first assignment that made me go into the forum.
That was a mistake.
The helpers in the forum only help you if you forgot to put link rel to link to your style sheet, or if you have 99% of the answer and a minor typo. That’s it.
Otherwise they do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP YOU.
I don’t know how I’m going to get through the course without going back in there.
Anyway, this form looks nothing like it did when I handed it in.
The bottom submit button is supposed to be big and green. It used to.
When you click over certain items on the form it is supposed to change color. It used to until I uploade it to the site. If it didn’t I would not have passed.
Not sure why it is no longer doing what it used to.
It did this using some unnecessarily confusing instructions about pseudo classes.
Hmmh.
May fix this later.
I know how to make a better form than this, but following the instructions given, this is what I made.
Or perhaps I am meant to erase the memory of this horrible form.
(Incidentally I learned how to make a beautiful form elsewhere today in a CSS course I took for 11 hours over the course of several days.) Perhaps this form isn’t working now that I’ve uploaded it so I can erase it from my memory.
NOTE: I heard once in a teacher training that if you have a question on a test and everyone gets stuck on the question, you should fix that question.
UPDATE: FEBRUARY 15
February 14
Found out that I am wasting my time using non-descript titles for everything I am doing to prevent people who are taking the course from cheating.
Last night I got stuck on a question for hours.
I went looking around for the answer outside the forum.
It turns out that there are plenty of people actually videotaping themselves doign the course and uploading the videos to youtube.
I also found a Chinese site, where they not only write the answer, they also put the instructions as well as the step #.
It is almost a mirror site.
Long ago, I heard that there was some guy who uploaded himself doing the entire course in one month (An experienced coder) But it appears he decided to delete it.
I clicked on the link and found nothing.
Anyway, today I found out that I have other options other than the Withhold the answer, make you waste hours forum.
There is also a discord channel I also found out about last night.
I will see what that is like next time I have a question.
